Great big hug . . . and many sincere thanks!

I wanted to take a minute to thank the many wonderful volunteers--parents, kids, neighbors, and friends who donated their time to help with our annual library inventory.  It was a huge success.  We finished scanning all 20,000+ items in 3 and half days, and were able to complete a second pass Thursday and Friday afternoon.  I'm happy to say that we are under 200 for items missing.  Not too shabby.

It was really lovely-- the outpouring of help.  I was especially touched by those of you who included your children in your hours of service.  What a beautiful legacy to pass on to your children--the idea of civic duty.

Is it any wonder then that I had 6 volunteers outside of the direct Summitt community--people who believe in neighborliness and lending a hand?!!

Just awesome!
